‘Blood, sweat and beers’: Igloo launches Slayer thrash metal band coolers

Igloo is celebrating International Day of Slayer, a heavy metal holiday, today, June 6, 2023, by launching a special cooler.

The Slayer coolers include a Little Playmate and a KoolTunes cooler with Bluetooth speakers.

Laster this year, Igloo said it will expand the collection with Slayer drinkware.

“We poured blood, sweat and beers into the creation of our most hardcore coolers ever,” Igloo said on the website.

“Collaborating with Slayer to capture the band’s distinct and influential look onto our world-famous coolers has been incredible,” said Adrienne Berkes, vice president of marketing at Igloo. “Through our effectively chilling KoolTunes and Playmate, we’re providing Slayer’s legion of fans a unique and practical way to show their undying devotion to the band.”

Igloo said the band’s “impact on thrash metal music is undeniable, and their influence can be seen in the artwork of this new cooler collection.”
